The Association Alan Ghitis against melanoma cancer is based between Europe and the United States, and funds research of world-renowned scientists at UCLA and Humanitas University.
I created the full architecture and content of their website for them. I also designed their style and visual identity - except for the logo. An agency then built the site itself, which I followed as project manager.
In order to create their identity and website, I organised various workshops with the founders to understand their needs. I also carried out a benchmark of other similar associations and charities to assess what was working well with donors.
In order to encourage donations, it was critical to create a site that was simple and appealing, that gave hope but was also serious. Making complex scientific concepts easy to understand was also a major challenge.
